Earn Free Merchandise

Hey,
Have you heard of BzzAgent??? Well, I'm here to tell you this is a great way to get all kinds of free stuff. You know me I'm all about FREE. When my daughter told me about this site, I didn't believe I could earn so many things simply by talking (or should I say BZZING about them). Here I am about three years later still buzzing. Let me run down a few of the things I have earned: Pod Coffee Maker, Stainless Steel Coffee Maker, Dog Food, Cereal, Candy. SonicCare Toothbrush, LogiTech Harmony One Remote Control (look up the cost for this--WOW), Electric Razor, AquaPod Water, Ziploc Big Bags, Scrubbing bubbles and many more. In addition to getting free merchandise you also earn points, these points can be used to make purchases. I bought several gift cards which I gave away for Christmas. First you register, answer surveys (the more surveys you answer, the more campaigns you'll be invited to), join in on any campaigns offered, your products will be shipped to you, you use it and bzz about the product to anyone that will listen, report your bzz on BzzAgent and you earn points. It really is easy to talk about these products and as an added bonus they will also send coupons for you to give out to those you have bzzed so they to can try the product. Give it a try it's easy and FREE......(Link is on the right hand side)

Tasty Tuesday Kick Off

Good Morning Everyone,

I'm glad you made it back for our first of many recipe sharing days.I will do my best to bring you not only tasty, easy, frugal recipes but approx. cost for ingredients as well. Today I want to share with all of you the best Black Eyed Peas I have ever tasted. There are so many different recipes for this, some with ham hocks, bacon, salt pork, chorizo. There really isn't a right or wrong recipe, just personal preference. These are just in time for the New Year. If you listen to most southerners, they will tell you that you must eat your black-eyed peas on New Year's Day. Your good luck for the coming year depends on it. I don't know about you but good luck for the New Year is always welcome here. So go ahead and add this to your own recipe box and enjoy...

Creamy Black Eyed Peas

1-Bag of Black Eyed Peas
1-Lg Can of Broth
1-Pint Heavy Whipping Cream
1-Bunch of Green Onions
1-Package Sausage (You can use brand of your choosing)
1-Tsp garlic powder
Season Salt & Pepper to taste

Rinse peas, and then soak in water over night. In large pot simmer onions and sausage in broth (you can add more broth or water if needed), add peas, garlic powder, season salt, and pepper and cook thoroughly until peas are soft. After cooking is complete, stir in heavy whipping cream (this needs to be added as last ingredient...)

Merry Christmas To All

Just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.
If you're like me, I still have wrapping to do and a few last minute gifts. I've been up since four this morning baking. I used my coupon from CVS for my FREE pretzels and melted some chocolate and drizzled it over the pretzels, this makes for some YUMMY treats. It's quick, easy, and very inexpensive to make. I'm going to add these to my baking goods trays. Well back to my baking and wrapping. Merry Christmas from our family to yours.....................

Sneak Preview

If you cook turkey for Christmas you'll love this dressing. (In our house we do both ham and turkey) This is quick & easy.

Sage Sausage Dressing

This is how much it cost me to make this:

Good Morning

I just wanted to make my personal shopping list available for others to use. I created it based on items that I frequently buy. There are two pages but in order to save paper, I printed it on both sides. After you print it, laminate it! I use a Expo dry erase ultra fine tip to check items that I need to buy. I keep this list on my frig. so that EVERYONE can keep our pantry updated! Anyways, enjoy and happy shopping!

*NOTE: Download as a Word document and you can edit the list to meet your needs. Download my shopping list by clicking here.

Coupons Denied?

Have you ever had your coupons denied by some stores? I have! I recently went to Wal-Mart and one of my printed coupons was denied. The CSM (Customer Service Manager) explained to me that Wal-Mart does not take internet coupons. Unfortunately I did not have a printed copy of Wal-Mart's coupon policy, so my advice is to print it out and keep it with your coupons. Their policy clearly states:

Wal-Mart accepts the following types of coupons (see guidelines below):

  • Manufacturer coupons (Cents Off)
  • Free merchandise (or manufacturer's Buy-One-Get-One-Free) coupons
  • Store coupons
  • Pharmacy (Advertising and Promotional) coupons
  • Internet coupons
  • Soft drink container caps
The following are guidelines and limits:

  • Wal-Mart only accepts coupons for merchandise we sell and only when presented at the time of purchase.
  • Coupons should have an expiration date and be presented within the valid dates. Wal-Mart will not accept expired coupons.
  • Internet coupons should be legible and say "Manufacturer Coupon." There should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer and a scannable bar code.
  • Only one coupon per item is permitted.
  • Use of 40 or more coupons per transaction will require approval by Customer Service Manager.

8-Johnson & Johnson First Aid Kits (found in the travel section) Follow this link and print 4 coupons (Buy 2 get $3.00 off)

4-Colgate Toothpaste- Follow this link and print 4 coupons ($1.50 off)

Now lets do the math- Your First Aid Kits cost .99 cents each for a total of $7.92 for 8 of them minus the 4 coupons= $12.00 off leaving you with an overage of $4.08. Then your 4 Toothpaste @ $2.99 each =$11.96 minus your 4 coupons=$6.00 off leaving you with a balance of $5.96
Okay remember you have an overage from the first aid kits so deduct that from your toothpaste balance and you have out of pocket cost of $1.88. Add that to the $6.99 and your total is $7.94

For you Newbies I have probably totally confused you but it really is easy.

I didn't use any Bonus Bucks to start with because I wanted to show what it would take to start. I only used coupons found from my local newspaper and online. I looked through my coupons, searched for online coupons, and matched them with the CVS flier, then went shopping. It took just a few minutes to get them together, if you already have your coupons organized. ( That's another Blog). Anyone can do it and it doesn't take long at all.
