Today's recipe is....Taco Casserole! My husband taught me how to make this easy recipe, so in my house we call this 'Lester's Famous Taco Casserole' (It makes him feel special). I know it doesn't look too pretty in the picture but trust me when I tell you it's delicious. Here's what you need:1.5 lbs-Ground beef
1-Onion
1- Can chicken rice soup
1-Can cream of mushroom soup
1-Small bottle of taco sauce
1-Cup of grated/shredded cheese
1-13 oz bag of tortilla chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
Crush tortilla chips; crush enough to make 3 layers.(We usually use a whole bag)
In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
Add soups and taco sauce; stir until hot.
In a 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish, layer in the following order: meat mixture, crushed chips, cheese; ending with chips and cheese on top.
Place in oven for 5-7 minutes for cheese to melt.
Enjoy!
*Let me know how your taco casserole turned out! Don't be afraid to make it your own by adding taco seasoning and/or etc.*
