Garlic Mashed Potatoes
5 pounds unpeeled red potatoes, quartered
1/2 stick butter, room temperature (or 1 full stick if you like butter)
1/2 pint Carton of Heavy Whipping Cream
chopped garlic ( Add as much as you like, I use 1-2 cloves)
2-1/2 teaspoons salt
2-1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
1.Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender but still firm, about 45 minutes; drain. Stir in butter, heavy whipping cream , garlic, salt and oregano. Mash with an electric mixer.
