My parents and aunt Nellie came to visit last week from
California. We had a wonderful visit, I wish they could have stayed longer. While they were here we decided to visit Fossil Rim, where you can see animals living in their near
natural environment. Fossil Rim is located just one hour and 20 minutes from Dallas/Fort Worth. You drive your own vehicle through the 9 1⁄2 mile tour and you can feed the animals along the way. The Giraffes are the only ones you can feed by hand. We took lots of pictures and I decided I would share some with all of you. In one photo you can see that the
Ostrich decided to take a bite of my dad's hand. He originally was at my window hitting it with his beak so I could feed him, since I rolled up my window he decided he would go to my dad's window. Well, Papa John didn't roll up his window and you can see what happened--OUCH! Fossil Rim was great and I can't wait to take my grandchildren there when they come to visit.
