Semi Homemade Gumbo
This is my husbands recipe, so you know it's easy to make. I must say he does cook good, in fact he cooks better than me. He can turn a piece of bread into a gourmet meal. This Gumbo is so easy and it taste great.
2 Lbs of Boneless/Skinless Chicken Thighs (No need to cut Chicken will fall apart)
2 Pkg Chopped Boudain Smoked Sausage
3 Lg Cartons Beef Broth (you can add just 2 cans plus water)
2 Boxes Gumbo Mix (Tony Chachere's)
1 Pkg Frozen Okra
Garlic Powder to taste (My husband gets carried away with this)
In large pot add broth, chicken and sausage. Bring to a boil, then turn down heat. Season with onion flakes and garlic . Add Gumbo mix and Okra and simmer until Chicken is thoroughly cooked.
