Kroger (VIBE) Very Important Blogger Event

Kroger will unveil their first Fresh fare store today, June 23 with the ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 am. The store is located at 3120 S University Dr in Fort Worth. This is Kroger 129th Fresh Fare Store but it is the first in Texas. I along with several other bloggers in the DFW area had the opportunity to visit the store prior to it opening. All I can say is WOW. We had the privilege of taking a behind the scenes tour.

Our first stop was the produce department, their produce department was full of fresh fruits and vegetables from local growers. They will feature over 100 USDA certified organic fruits and vegetables daily. The Produce Department also carries fresh fruits and veggies that are kitchen ready, yes kitchen ready-meaning they are already cut, diced and ready to eat.
The Chef Shoppe offers a huge assortment of prepared entrees, salads, sandwiches (made to order if you like), and wraps. Dinner and no time to cook? No problem, visit the Bistro and let them do the work for you. You can enjoy some great Chef prepared hot meals.

Are you in the mood for Sushi? Yes they have that too. Fresh Sushi is available daily.
Do you have a taste for nuts, seeds, granola, maybe a certain spice, or perhaps some tea? Their bulk wall is sure to have just what you are looking for, with over 150 different varieties to choose from. All ready for you to dispense the amount you want. Would you like to have your bread sliced a certain way, Kroger has thought of that too. Along side the Artisan bread wall is a slicer for you to do just that, no worries it is child proof so you won't cut yourself.

Are you in a hurry but need deli items? Simply visit their kiosk, scan your card, place your order and continue shopping. Once you are done come back and pick up your order, YIPPIE no more waiting and waiting or taking a number.

Wine, well what can I say. See for yourself with over 1000 different wines to choose from and 400 beers, I'm sure you will find just what you are looking for. Best of all they have a wine steward there to assist you. So many options of beer to choose from and you can't decide. Great news make your own six pack, choose six different beers (yes you can mix and match) all for only $8.99. Cheese to go with your wine, the cheese shoppe has over 125 varieties of imported and specialty cheeses.

Those in need of organic, Wheat- Gluten-lactose free products will find these items in a breeze. Kroger has integrated these products along side their counterparts. They are located in the first few sections within that category and identified with the green shelf stripping.

The Butcher Shoppe features Private selection Angus Beef and Nolan Ryan choice all natural beef. The Butcher Shoppe also features a variety of gourmet burgers and kabobs. Don't worry they will also let you place special requests.

Attention TCU Fans: For a limited time Kroger is offering purple colored Kroger plus card in support of Texas Christian University. Need some TCU gear, visit the fan shop located at the front of the store.

There was just too much to take in at once. I need to go back again, without my camera, phone, tweets and notepad LOL, so I can fully enjoy a unique shopping experience.
Kroger has truly thought of us, the customer when they added this store...................
We would like to thank Kroger for allowing us to visit your store, and a special thanks to Gary, Kristal and Theresa and all the wonderful Kroger associates that welcomed us.
