Here is a fairly simple recipe for Oatmeal Cinnamon Bars. These make a delicious snack or breakfast on-the-go! You can also add raisins, chocolate chips, or whatever else you are craving in these bars. Yummy!

Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 25 mins

2 cups of oatmeal
1 ½ cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ cup granulated sugar
½ cup brown sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup cinnamon applesauce
½ cup vegetable oil

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine oats, flour, cinnamon, baking powder, sugars, and salt. Add the applesauce and oil. Stir just until blended. Pour the batter into a lightly greased 13” x 9” baking dish. Bake for 20- 25 mins or until the bars are set in the center. Allow the cake to cool on a wire rack before it into bars.
