*CLOSED* Strider Bike Review & Giveaway

Do you remember how you learned to ride a bike? Like most kids, you probably started out with training wheels. Although training wheels are suppose to assist children while they learn balance, I have found them to be problematic! I'm sure you have seen the way a child wobbles when they ride a bike with training wheels, right? Well this "training-wheel wobble" can actually create fear and hesitancy, therefore, delaying your child in mastering bike riding.

Enter the Strider™ PREbike.

The Strider™ teaches your child balance, coordination and develops glittering confidence. Trikes and bikes with training wheels don’t. Traditional bicycles place too much of the focus on learning to pedal -- skimping on developing your child’s motor skills.

Bike riding becomes a breeze when you teach your child balance and coordination before pedaling. The Strider™ takes pedaling out of the mix so that kids can concentrate solely on learning balance, which takes more practice. Pedaling is a secondary skill that kids can easily learn within a few short minutes.
If your child can walk... your child can ride a Strider™.

Our experience:
About three years ago, my husband and I tried to teach our oldest daughter (who was then 7) how to ride a bike. After several attempts to teach her, we failed miserably -- she will now be 11 and still does not know how to ride a bike. The reason for this is because she was so deathly scared of the wobbling from her training wheels that she developed a fear of falling. After countless attempts to ease her fears, she still refused to continue with her bike riding lessons.

When it came time to introduce our son, Jae'Sun, to bikes we feared that the same thing might occur. We started out slow by introducing him to a trike versus a regular bike with training wheels. Although he loves his trike, he can't pedal so he "walks" his trike instead of actually riding it. When we were offered the opportunity to review the Strider™ PREbike, we were so excited to see Jae'Sun in action on it. Upon the arrival of Jae's Strider, my husband and I were amazed by the quality of this bike! Just check out the specifications:

Super light. Less that 7 pounds (about 1/3 the weight of a typical 12" pedal bike with training wheels).
Frame Design: Unique frame design has integrated Launch Pad™ footrests for gliding and learning advanced riding skills.
Tires: Puncture-proof all-terrain tires with sealed bearings and 5/16" steel axles.

Construction: Durable welded steel frame and handlebars
Sizing:Adjustable handlebar and seat height to fit riders from 30" to 44" tall (saddle height adjusts from 11" to 16" from ground).

It was love at first sight for Jae'Sun! He loved the fact that the bike is red like "Spiderman." The first time Jae'Sun took his new bike for a ride, he was a bit shaky but I think that is because he is so used to being low to the ground on his trike. After several weeks of riding it, Jae'Sun loves to find a hill, go really fast, then put his legs up as he yells "Weeeeeeeeee!" What I love most about this bike is that it is designed for children, ages 1 - 5, is lightweight and can grow with your child because it has an adjustable seat and handlebars! Now that's a money saver!
