Tasty Tuesday

Today I would like to share a recipe for Caramel Chex Mix.
When my husband was in Iraq, his friend was sent ziploc BAGS of this chex mix from his mom. All the Marines and sailors in their company loved this recipe!

Last week my husband made this mix for us and I fell in love with it too!
-->Warning: It's addicting!<--

Ingredients:
1/2 Box Rice Chex
1/2 Box Corn Chex
1/2 Box Wheat Chex
Small Box Crispix
Small Bag of Sm Pretzels
Nuts-Mixed or Plain

Caramel Mix:
2 C Butter (Real butter tastes the best)
1/2 C Light Corn Syrup
2 C Light Brown Sugar
1/4 tsp Baking Soda
2 tsp Vanilla

Directions:
Mix cereal in large foil roasting pan sprayed with non stick spray. Bring caramel mix to a boil. Pour over cereal mixture and stir to mix. Spray spoon with the non stick spray so it is easier to clean. Bake at 250 for 1 hr, stirring every 15 min. Let cool, stirring occasionally as the mix will get hard. Store in air tight zip lock bag or container. Mix will keep for some time.

Increased Caramel Mix:
3 Cubes Butter
3/4 C Light Corn Syrup
3 C Light Brown Sugar
1/4 & 1/8 tsp Baking Soda
3 tsp Vanilla
**This will make a large batch**
