Tasty Tuesday

We've introduced this recipe before but we figured we would recycle it since it's so darn delicious. Here is a recipe for some scrumptious Caramel Chex Mix. During the holidays I love making a big batch and handing it out family and friends. It truly is a delicious treat. Enjoy!

1/2 Box Rice Chex
1/2 Box Corn Chex
1/2 Box Wheat Chex
Small Box Crispix
Small Bag of Sm Pretzels
Nuts-Mixed or Plain

Caramel Mix:
2 C Butter (Real butter tastes the best)
1/2 C Light Corn Syrup
2 C Light Brown Sugar
1/4 tsp Baking Soda
2 tsp Vanilla

Mix cereal in large foil roasting pan sprayed with non stick spray (butter flavor makes it taste even better). Bring caramel mix to a boil. Pour over cereal mixture and stir to mix. Spray spoon with the non stick spray so it is easier to clean. Bake at 250 for 1 hr, stirring every 15 min. Let cool, stirring occasionally as the mix will get hard. Store in air tight zip lock bag or container. Mix will keep for some time.

Increased Caramel Mix:
3 Cubes Butter
3/4 C Light Corn Syrup
3 C Light Brown Sugar
1/4 & 1/8 tsp Baking Soda
3 tsp Vanilla
**This will make a large batch**
