Forgot about plain oatmeal! Have you ever tried baked oatmeal? Oh myyyy...it is so good.
3 cups quick-cooking oats
1/4 cup sugar (or sugar substitute)
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk (works well with Almond Milk too)
1/2 cup applesauce
1 apple (chopped)
Combine oats, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Next, add milk, applesauce, eggs, and chopped apple. Once mixed well, pour mixture into lightly greased pie pan. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes. Serve warm.
*Note: Before I placed my oatmeal in the oven, I topped with cinnamon and drizzled with a little honey. It came out delicious!
