Tasty Tuesday

A few days ago I decided to try to bake some bread for my kids. I wasn't quite sure how it would turn out since I don't ever bake bread, but oh my goodness was it good! My kids gave this Chocolate Banana bread two thumbs up!!!

1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar or sugar substitute (I used Splenda)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup apple sauce
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
3 ripe bananas, mashed

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease loaf pan.
  2.  In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients. Add bananas, egg, and applesauce. Fold in chocolate chips.
  3. Pour batter into greased loaf pan. 
  4. Bake for roughly 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  5. Allow to cool & enjoy!
