Wordful Wednesday

Let me start off by saying that I LOVE TECHNOLOGY! I try to complete all my errands while my children are at school, but there are times (like summer break) when I have to take ALL 3 kids with me! Whenever I take my kids with me, I often become flustered because they loveeeee to test my patience....don't all kids?! Depending on where I'm going, I will allow the children to bring our kindle & iPad. Since I only download educational apps, it's a win-win for both!!! I keep my sanity while they have fun learning.

Walgreens: Get 2,000 Points w/$10 Purchase *ENDS TODAY*


If you are in need of some items, then today is your day! Today at Walgreens, you can earn up to 2,000 points when you purchase $10 or more in-store. Just a heads up -- I have read that some people have recieved emails stating that they will earn 50 points for every $1 spent.
There are also some rules that apply:

  • Valid 5/22/13-5/23/13 in-store only
  • One time use per member
  • Points will not be earned in a transaction where RR or Points are used!!!
  • $10 must be spent in a single transaction and purchase amount is calculated before taxes and after all Walgreens Coupons and discounts are applied

Walgreens: Night at the W

REMINDER ALERT:
Walgreens is hosting their 'Night at the W' event tonight (5/22) from 4-9 PM at participating Walgreens locations. According to their site, you will be able to sample products, get great deals, and speak with Beauty Advisors. Ahhh, they had me at free samples!!!!

Tasty Tuesday

Sorry for the late post but I literally just made these delicious muffins for my kids.
Recipe adapted from Allrecipes
Makes 18 muffins
Ingredients:
  • 2 large bananas, mashed
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce (you can use oil)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1.5 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup flax mill (optional but add 1/2 cup more flour if you omit)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2.25 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup blueberries (I used frozen)

Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 and spray muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix wet ingredients (except for blueberries) Next, mix in dry ingredients and continue mixing until it has reached a semi-smooth consistency. Gently fold in blueberries to batter. 
  3. Evenly distribute batter in muffin tin and bake for about 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
