My family and I love pasta! Pasta is such an inexpensive way to feed larger families. We are a military family of 5, surviving on one income, so it's important that we stretch our bucks as much as possible. My menu planning usually revolves around ingredients I have on hand. Sometime last week, I had a whole bag of brussels sprouts in my refrigerator and desperately needed a way to use them since I am the only person in the house that doesn't mind eating them plain. Thankfully I found this delicious recipe: Autumn Penne Pasta with Sauteed Brussels Sprouts In A Light Ragu.
The whole family enjoyed it! I also managed to save myself some money by scoring a great deal on Helen's Kitchen Meatless Italian Sausage and using that in place of the sausage and ground turkey the recipe calls for.
